Having lived on the coast for three years and having holidayed here for the last 15 years, I decided it was time to get to grips with the language. I enrolled as a beginner at the Centro de Idiomas in Calahonda for 10 weeks, three mornings a week from 9.30 - 11.30, and loved every second of it. There were only 5 of us in the class, but each of us was eager to learn.
From my point of view, the learning of the language opened up a whole new world. John and the girls were amazing, they made learning the language fun but nonetheless serious at the same time. After completing the first 10 weeks I immediately enrolled for the second level. I can honestly say that my time there was fun, informative, and gave me a basic knowledge of Spanish which I use and develop on a daily basis, which has proved invaluable in my Café Bar at Los Jarales in Calahonda.
